I’m a Caddie software user and I managed to download Electrical symbols from your website but I am unable to paste it to my symbol directory in Caddie. Can you perhaps assist?
Hi, I’m afraid I am not familiar with Caddie software. However, you are welcome to send me your file, and I can see if I can paste the symbols in and send it back to you? Email me on emma@firstinarchitecture.co.uk. 🙂
Please can you advise a standard that these are drawn to?
Hello Ashley, some of the blocks are standard (from books like Architects Data, etc) and others were created for specific projects. So a combination. If you are looking for electrical symbol blocks that comply with British Standards I would not say that these are suitable.
I am using a Home Design pro software package by Chief Architect which is an American programme, and it can only import calibz files not dwg do you know if it is possible to convert the dwg file to calibz to enable me to import the UK electrical symbols?
Thanks you
Hi there Collette, Apologies for my delayed reply. I’m afraid I am not familiar with the software package you mention, nor the calibz files. You may find there are online converters where you can upload the dwg and get it to convert to the required file type. Sorry I can’t be of more assistance. If it would help I could give you a pdf of the electrical symbols – would those import ok into Chief Architect? Regards, Emma
IS IT POSSIBLE TO HAVE THE SUNBLOCK FOR LEBANON
REGARDS
I’m afraid that UK is the only one I have made.
I’m a photographer with a garden office.
At the moment I’m trying to create a wiring diagram/floor plan of the garden office, so I can work out what kind of switches, sockets and lighting and so on I’ll need and as a guide to give the electrician so he/she know what I want and where I want it.
I’m creating this floor plan in Adobe Illustrator.
The file above is obviously for professional CAD software but do you know if it’s available anywhere as either EPS or SVG format (which I’d be able to use in Illustrator)? At a push, high-resolution PDF would be okay too.
Despite searching for ages, I’m struggling to find anything online at the moment so any help you can give me here would be deeply, deeply appreciated.
Hi Michael, I appreciate your frustrations on this. I’m afraid I don’t have these symbols in any format that would be suitable for Adobe Illustrator. However, I have made a large scale pdf for you which I will email over to you. Hopefully this will be of some use. Please check your email. 🙂
What license is this produced under? For instance, I can convert the file to a suitable SVG library for use with illustrator or Inkscape but would that breach your copyright?
Hi there Ben, yes you can use the file in illustrator or other programs, for personal or commercial use. As long as the files are not shared/distributed etc. Thanks, Emma
No Uniclass symbols?
