Detail Library – New Details January 2026
House Extensions BLOG

On the Detail Library, we are very happy to share another selection of details in collaboration with Fluid Glass. These details include various arrangements for bifold, sliding and pivot doors.

All the details are in a masonry cavity wall construction and explore a number of options and configurations for the head, jamb and threshold. These are the kind of details that make a big difference to a project, providing the wow factor.

From exposed track sliding doors to flush pivot systems, the selection demonstrates how thoughtful coordination of structure, finishes and thermal performance can be achieved without compromising on aesthetics. Each condition shows how to deal with typical challenges — from drainage to airtightness— with options that suit everything from minimal internal finishes to concealed blinds and level thresholds.

The bifold door details focus on visible frame configurations, offering practical installation benefits while meeting key regulatory standards. The sliding door set includes both exposed and hidden rail variants. The pivot door series explores recessed frames, concealed fixings and flush thresholds for a seamless architectural finish.

All details are supported by coordinated elevation drawings to help visualise the complete door systems in context.
